The Henry Ford invites internationally renowned artists to spend a week in the Greenfield Village Glass Shop during the summer. The artist in residence collaborates with our glassblowers, creating unique objects that demonstrate their distinctive approach to glassmaking for our visitors. Each artist creates one work of art destined for The Henry Ford’s collection.

In July of 2022, artists Michael Schunke and Josie Gluck took up residency in the Glass Shop, where they explored iterations of pattern and movement in glass. Schunke and Gluck work together at their studio, Vetro Vero, to preserve traditional techniques and express creative innovation through excellence in design and craftsmanship.
