Making History Documentaries
10m
History is never as simple as the stories we're told. In this video, we talk about the process of researching history — and why finding the truth is often harder than it seems. History is written by the victors, but what happens to the stories from the losing side? Propaganda, simplified narratives, and changing language have shaped the way we understand the past — often leaving out the messier, more complicated versions of events. From conflicting eyewitness accounts to words that don't mean what they used to, researching history means questioning everything — even the stories we've accepted as fact.
